![]() ![]() My solution to this was to buy a Dremel and slowly start dremeling out the center of the hub until I could fit the new Jeep Compass USB HUB inside of the factory plastic. The only thing that will not be plug any play like in the video is you will have to disconnect the factory USB harness but then retrofit the new USB HUB into the left side plastic of the USB/Cigarette lighter block. You can get the HVAC module from the part number I listed above and follow this video step by step to complete the install: There is no programming needed for the HVAC module. If you reach out to infotainment, they will say that you must get everything from them as they are "pre-programmed." Well, I'm here to tell you that that's just a bunch of marketing jargon. As long as the holes line up, I've found that you should be able to get the radio to communicate properly. One guy on the RAM Forum attempted a retrofit of the Challenger radio to his RAM and ended up breaking his radio. However, I have heard that the Dodge vehicles such as the Challenger and Durango would technically work, the mounting is different and would not fit the same mounting holes. You should be able to use the UAQ from a Jeep Wrangler, Compass, Cherokee and RAM. I was able to score a killer deal on a UAQ out of a 2018 Jeep Compass. ![]() After many hours and days of working on upgrading a 2014 Jeep Cherokee to the UAQ radio myself without spending $1799 at Infotainment, I've finally done it! I'm going to be going over part numbers, software updates, known bugs and glitches and will update my post if I have any new findings. ![]()
